I am an accountant who works from home and can therefore keep my fees extremely competitive whilst maintaining the very high standards my clients need and expect. Because my pricing structure has remained a maximum of £30 per hour for the last few years - with no increase planned in the foreseeable future - my fee for the preparation of most of my clients' annual accounts inclusive of tax computations, etc. is around £400 (company accounts obviously tend to be more, but, with new legislation allowing audit exemption for turnovers of almost three million pounds, my annual fee is hardly ever above three figures). As a result of this potential saving, I tend to attract sole traders (including subcontractors), partnerships and other small businesses which seek high quality at an affordable price. Or, to quote my advertising slogan: Due to the favourable overheads that an office at home allows, The saving I can offer sometimes raises clients' eyebrows. The quality of accounts I prepare negates unnecessary dictum - I'm a definite advantage for small businesses with a limited income! Or, more succinctly......
